Welcome Inn Community Centre serves the North End of Hamilton by offering community programs for children, youth, seniors, families, and recent immigrants. Their camps and programs focus on creating safe, inclusive environments that promote wellness, leadership, academic support, and social connection. Unique partnerships and community-driven approaches empower participants while addressing challenges like poverty and social isolation.

Learning and Fun Afterschool Program
An afterschool program serving children from St. Lawrence and Bennetto Elementary Schools (Grades 1-8), pairing students with volunteer mentors to work on literacy, numeracy, social skills, and financial literacy in a safe and fun environment. Includes healthy snacks, access to a lending library, computers, games, and sports equipment.
Summer Day Camp
A six-week summer day camp held at Bennetto Recreation Centre offering group games, arts and crafts, dress-up days, counsellor challenges, swimming, and weekly outings. Designed for children ages 5-11, with opportunities for older children to volunteer and develop leadership skills.
Diners Club
A weekly Tuesday program for seniors featuring a nutritious home-cooked meal followed by an afternoon of live music, guest speakers, themed parties, cooking demonstrations, dancing, and social activities aimed at reducing social isolation and fostering friendships.
Community Visitation Program
Connects isolated seniors with trained volunteers for regular visits including walks, coffee outings, games, or phone calls. Includes a Life Navigation component to assist seniors with complex needs in navigating healthcare, food security, housing, relationships, and mental health supports.
