SBJ Dance Studio offers Highland Dance programs focused on teaching proper technique, steps, and dances for all levels, from beginners to competitive dancers. Serving children primarily under 6 years and older, the studio emphasizes fun, education, and physical fitness through traditional Scottish Highland dancing. The studio also features the Schiehallion Dancers, a performance group with a rich history of international appearances.

Introductory Highland
Designed for those new to dance and/or Highland dance, this program introduces creative dance, movement to music, balance, coordination, proper posture, basic Highland and ballet positions, and basic Highland dance steps including Pas de Basques, High Cuts, Highland Fling, and Sword Dance.
Highland Dance Classes
Classes designed to be fun, educational, and a great workout, ensuring students learn proper technique, steps, and dances for competitions and STDA Dance Exams. Classes are divided by age, competition, and examination levels with an expectation of attending at least 2 classes per week for competitive dancers. Group classes are offered Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with private and semi-private lessons available.
Schiehallion Dancers
A performance group of talented SBJ Dance Studio students who perform locally and internationally, including prestigious events like the Edinburgh Tattoo and Virginia International Tattoo.
