What do we do all week?: Outdoor Fun: The majority of the summer will be spent outside in a nearby park and greenspace. The children will be participating in group activities like soccer, baseball and parachute games. We will learn about nature on some walks through the greenspace and explore our neighbourhood with local walks. Swimming: Your children will cool off in the local pool twice per week. Although there are lifeguards at the pool, our ratio of counsellor:campers increases to 1:8 during private swim times and 1:6 during public swims. Kampers are divided into groups of similar skill level. Indoor Fun: From 11:30 to 1:30 pm the sun and the UV rays are at their strongest, so Kidz Kamp will spend that time indoors. Your children will make some masterpieces during arts & crafts or take part in some low-key activities and games to keep them cool. If it rains or if the temperature (including humidex) reaches 36°C, we play inside. The facility is air conditioned, so there's no worry of it being hotter inside than it is outside! Weekly Field Trips: We have 9 different trips planned for the summer. Check out our Field Trips page for details of the themes and weekly trips. Please note that some trips are very popular and registration fills up very quickly for the more popular trips . These field trips are completely covered by the weekly fees, so there are no hidden fees that you'll have to pay each week. We have incorporated the cost of the bus as well as the admission into our rates. So the only extra money you'll have to spend is if you want your child to bring you back a souvenir!
