High Park Nature Centre offers year-round, hands-on outdoor nature education and stewardship programs for children and youth in Toronto. Summer Camp
A nature-based summer camp where kids explore High Park through hands-on discovery, active outdoor play, and adventure. Campers learn about plants, wildlife, and ecosystems while participating in hikes, games, and stewardship activities.
Springtails Practice Camp
A gentle, three half-day camp for children aged 4-5 to build confidence and readiness for group settings through nurturing, play-based outdoor experiences.
Leafhoppers
A program for youngest naturalists aged 4-5 featuring nature-inspired art, stories, games, and short hikes to explore High Park’s ecosystems with high educator support.
Cicadas
Active and curious campers aged 6-7 engage in scavenger hunts, nature games, creative activities, and longer hikes to develop naturalist skills in High Park.
Dragonflies
Campers aged 8-10 participate in educational hikes, team games, and stewardship activities to deepen their understanding of High Park’s ecosystems.
Mantids
Experienced campers aged 11-13 build observation, identification, and stewardship skills through active play, teamwork, and hands-on adventures.
Leaders in Training (LIT)
Youth aged 14-16 develop leadership and stewardship skills during a training week followed by a volunteer week supporting younger campers, contributing to school community hours.
Ramblers
Teens aged 14-16 engage in independent nature adventures, hands-on projects, and skill-building activities, inspired by the High Park Rangers leadership program.
Winter Holiday Camp
Winter break camp offering outdoor nature adventures in High Park during the winter season.
PA Day Camps
Day camps offered on school PA days providing fun nature activities and exploration.
March Break Camp
A week-long camp during March Break filled with outdoor nature activities and exploration.
