The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA Summer Camp offers an interactive, hands-on program for children ages 6-14 to learn about animal welfare, veterinary care, and responsible pet ownership. The camp fosters compassion, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of animals through themed sessions, unique field trips, and guest speakers. It is designed to engage young animal lovers with real animals, educational activities, and career exploration in animal care.

Critter Camp
Perfect for young animal lovers, this camp introduces children to the basics of responsible pet ownership through supervised animal interactions, crafts, and fun lessons. Campers learn about different species, their basic needs, and the ways humans and animals help each other.
Animal Advocates
Designed for young changemakers, this program takes a deeper dive into the world of animal welfare. Campers experience hands-on learning at the HBSPCA, meet professionals who work with animals daily, and explore how they can make a difference in the lives of animals in their community.
Vet Camp
This camp is perfect for aspiring vets, offering an inside look at animal medicine through interactive workshops on X-rays, physical exams, and veterinary procedures. Campers meet a variety of veterinary specialists and explore careers in animal healthcare.
Careers Camp
Animals are more than pets—they’re part of many different careers! This camp provides an exciting look at professions like zookeepers, falconers, veterinary neurologists, and wildlife rescue teams. Campers learn to critically evaluate animal welfare and discuss ethical issues in animal care.
