These critical skills not only help our Kids succeed in our programs but they are also the essential building blocks for their future success. Programs In our flagship Ready, Set, Goal! (RSG!) program, Kids are encouraged to think boldly, act courageously, and make a difference in the world around them, all while gaining the confidence necessary to achieve their goals. The goal of this initiative is to create hope and meaningful connection for Kids. RSG! creates a virtual space that gives Kids access to supportive adults who believe in them, unleashes their intrinsic leadership capacity, builds confidence, and connects them with their local community as they lead tangible change. Whether creating awareness around pet adoption, organizing a local park clean-up, or connecting newcomers, Kids become champions of hope and change! In the summer of 2020, we launched Ready, Set, Connect! - a virtual summer program for children to connect with each other, grow as leaders and achieve shared community service goals. This program was created in response to a parent and family survey we conducted, asking what children needed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this feedback, Ready, Set, Connect! includes daily group virtual chats, that are facilitated by a program leader, combined with weekly coaching calls and independent work over 2 weeks.
