About

About Our Mission: To create a fun, safe, and supportive environment for students to discover and cultivate their creativity through the use of Improv Theatre techniques. History About Durham Improv is a Not-for-profit organization working to bring the power of laughter, creativity, and interpersonal skills to as many people as they can. The power of improv has been shown time and time again in self-development and character building and Durham Improv has a focus on reaching populations that otherwise might not have the opportunity to “learn through laughter”. Durham Improv strives to be the leader in free and subsidized arts-focused workshops for adults with special needs and the families at the local abuse shelters in Durham Region, Ontario. Services Our focus is on education: Schools, corporations, and individuals (workshops include Improv, stand-up, sketch writing, voice-over acting, on-screen acting, and more!) and Entertainment. History Created in 2005, Durham Improv became a Not-for-profit in the fall of 2017.
