History Recognized as one of the best performing arts venues in Canada, The Rose Brampton was built as part of the revitalization of Brampton’s downtown core to meet the cultural needs of a rapidly growing city. Designed by Page & Steele Architects, construction began with a groundbreaking ceremony on August 13, 2003, and opened to the public in September 2006. Brampton's own Russell Peters was the first act presented on the new Rose Mainstage on September 3, and The Rose was officially opened with a Grand Gala featuring Diana Krall on September 29, 2006.
